Gwen M. Davis

DAVIS, Gwen Mary, age 85, of Vandalia passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born July 8, 1925 in Jackson, OH, daughter of the late Roosevelt M. & Vernie R. (Brunton) Cochran. Gwen was a retired employee of Dayton Office Supply, was an active member and volunteer at the Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, as well as an avid doll collector. Gwen is survived by her 3 children, Richard Klenke, Mary Corbin and Teresa Klenke; 1 sister, Sadie Davis; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 16 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Kelly Meyerhoeffer officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Happy Corner Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, 7037 Union Rd., Clayton, OH 45315 in Gwens memory.
