Henry Wayne Hembree
Age 62, of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was born December 16, 1955 in Amherst, Ohio to the late Henry & Betty Rose (Myrick) Hembree.
Wayne was a member of the Eagles & the Moose Lodge in Celina, Ohio. Wayne was a good man who loved his family. He and his wife, Darlene, loved boating and fishing on Grand Lake St. Mary’s where they had many friends. He was also a die-hard Bengals fan. Wayne was employed as a tool maker for over 40 years; he was the owner of Belair Tool in Dayton and then worked for Mitchell Golf Equipment Company before retiring.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Myers) Hembree; four daughters, Melanie Nuse (Wesley), Katie McGrath (Chase), Dawn Nichols (Randy) & Michelle LeMaster (Matthew); eleven grandchildren; Parker McGrath, Piper McGrath, Easton Nuse, Emerson Nuse, Ryan Nichols (Rachel), Sam Baker, Ella Baker, Peyton Nichols, Kennedy Nichols, Collen LeMaster, and Logan LeMaster; two great grandchildren; Rylee LeMaster, and Raelynn Nichols; two siblings, Ronnie Hembree and Patricia Broughton (William); his aunt, Willa Mae Davidson; and two cousins; Paul Sowders (Carol) and Larry Sowders; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 16, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Rev. Bob Cupp will officiate. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, we welcome contributions be made in memory of Wayne to the American Lung Association.
