LARSON, Harcourt A. Whitey , age 88 of Butler Twp., passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy illness. He was born August 28, 1919 in Dayton, son of the late Andrew N. & Sarah F. (Massie) Larson. He was a retired employee of Inland Div. of G.M. and was a WW II Army Veteran. Mr. Larson was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, Vandalia Masonic Lodge #742 F&AM and the American Legion of West Milton. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Larson; 1 daughter, Sondra Lee & husband, James Newton of Ludlow Falls; 2 sons, James Andrew Jim & wife, Linda Larson of Covington & Michael Charles & wife, Cindy Larson of Springfield; 7 grandchildren, Carrie Marko, Lori Chiles, James Newton, Otto Larson, Kathryn Shaffer, Amy Larson & David Larson; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 29 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 7700 Dog Leg Rd. with Pastor Hal Robarge officiating. Burial to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia on Wednesday evening from 4-8 pm. Masonic Services to be held at 7:45 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hospice of Dayton or to the Clark County Chapter of the Red Cross in Whiteys memory.
