Harold R. Taylor

Harold R. Taylor Age 93, of Dayton and formerly of St. Pete, Florida, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was born January 18, 1922 in Farmersville, Ohio to the late David & Barbara (Lesher) Taylor. During WW II Harold served his country in the U. S. Air Force as a pilot in the Central Pacific. He was a life member of VFW Post # 9927 (Kettering) and for many years he was a salesman for Aristocrat Products. Harold is survived by his wife of the past 32 years, Betty (Estridge) Taylor; two daughters, Sharon Eby & Sandra Sommers; grandchildren, Kevin Eby (Amy) & Jeffery Eby (Amy); step grandchildren, Jennifer Brockert (Eric) & Ashley Shuster (Justin); and by 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday (2/20) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until time of service on Friday. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Friendship Village for the loving care & attention they have provided to Harold and Betty. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Harold to the Hospice of the Miami Valley.
