Harold Wilmer

WILMER, Harold Alfred, age 89, born and raised in Dayton, OH left this world to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2007 in Titusville, FL. Harold worked for Glenn L. Martin Company, Baltimore, MD, later known as Martin-Marietta, Cape Canaveral, FL for 43 years. He was a volunteer with the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary, the American Red Cross and the Titusville Fire Department. He was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Titusville as well. Harold was the beloved son of his late parents, John A. & Leona Wilmer; was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lynn Wilmer, his grandson, John Daniel Wilmer Jr., his brothers and his sister. Harold is survived by his wife, Mary G. (Wolf) Wilmer; his daughter, Norma & husband, Jack Hanley; his son, John Daniel & wife, Donna Wilmer; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 7 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Dennis Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service.
