CLARK, Harry Theodore, age 84, of Vandalia passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Grandview Hospital. He was born April 6, 1926 in Kirkersville, Ohio, son of the late Harry Porter and Elma Gustava (Vermilion) Clark. Mr. Clark was a retired school administrator from the Vandalia school system in Montgomery County, OH and was previously employed by the Alexandria and Utica schools in Licking County, OH. He graduated from Kirkersville High School, Class of 1944. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University in 1949 where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity and a Master of Education degree from Ohio University where was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Delta Kappa honorary societies. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. His Masonic affiliations were Past Master of Licking Lodge #291, Utica, Ohio; 32 A.A.S.R.; Shrine and Eastern Star. He was a past-president of the Utica Dinner Club and currently a member of the Vandalia Lions, Sister Cities, and Senior Citizens Clubs. He had been an Elder, Deacon, and Trustee of the Utica Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of the United Methodist Church, Vandalia, OH. Preceded in death by one brother, E. Dale Clark, Harry is survived by his wife, Wanda Lee (Wetzel) Clark; a daughter, Dr. Carla Lee Clark of Utica, OH, a son and daughter-in-law, Scott Dale and Kelly (Ziegler) Clark of Cincinnati, and two granddaughters, Alexandra and Kennedy Clark, all of Cincinnati, OH; and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 14, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00pm at the Kirkersville Cemetery, Kirkersville, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vandalia Lions Club in Harrys memory.
