Harry Richard Spencer, Jr.
“Boy”
Age 88, of Vandalia, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Harry was born on Christmas Day in 1936 in West Virginia to the late Harry Spencer, Sr. & Mildred (nee: Comer) Spencer-Stonerock. In addition to his parents, Harry was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise, in 2004; brothers & sisters, James Spencer, George Spencer, Anne Puckett & Jackie Keen; step-daughter, Sheila Besecker; and by his former wife, Patty Hix.
Harry was a long-time member of Elm Valley Fishing Club and the Dayton Anglers Club. He was the owner of Stillwater Concepts Tooling and Fabrication.
Harry is survived by his son, Harry Richard Spencer, III & his wife, Charlotte; his daughter, Michelle Mendenhall & her husband, Dennis; one sister, Debbie Steele; step-daughter, Pam Hardwick & Dahle Smith; step-son-in-law, Jeff Besecker and his wife, Tracy; eight grandchildren, Makayla, Elaina & Nova Spencer, Mike & Nick Hardwick, Glenn Besecker, Nathan Mendenhall, Carmen Marchal; three great grandchildren, Claire, Catherine & Paige Marchal; and by his loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, April 25, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Inurnment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Harry to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
