STRUEWING, Helen Williamson, passed away Wednesday, January 27, in Venice, Florida. She was born December 29, 1927 in Cedarville, OH, daughter of W. Collins Williamson and Sarah Pennington Williamson. They, her sister Etha Belle and brother Richard preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Struewing, children Nonda (Chuck) Harvey, R. Thomas (Carolyn) Struewing and Joyce (Wes) Moreland, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and others in her large extended family. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1950 and was one of the first elementary teachers in Tipp City Schools with a bachelors degree. She retired from teaching in 1985 and enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends in Tipp City, at their vacation home in Lake Ann, Michigan, and for the last 19 years, wintering in Venice, Florida. She was a member since 1950 of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City and Epiphany in Venice, Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 4 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City with Fr. Mark Sherlock officiating. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 4:30 - 7:30 pm and and from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Johns Building Fund, Catholic Relief Services/Haitian Relief, or charity of choice. Arrangements by Morton-Whetstone, Vandalia.
