MADLINGER, Henrietta C. (Schaub) age 88 of Vandalia, passed away Saturday October 22, 2011 at the Wood Glen Community after a lengthy illness. She was born October 7, 1923 in Dayton, daughter of the late J. Henry & Marie (Keim) Schaub. She was a bookkeeper for American Carco Inc. and was a member of St Christopher Catholic Church. Henrietta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family who she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Eugene Madlinger in 2008; one granddaughter Kristie and 3 sisters Margaret, Helen, and Gloria. Henrietta is survived by 3 sons James A. & wife Janice of Huber Heights, Richard J. & wife Sukanya of Springboro, David E. of West Carrollton; one sister Dorothy Henz of Hamilton; 6 grandchildren Lisa, Tracy, Bo, Bart, Lori, Ajay; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 26 at 11:00am at St Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Tuesday evening from 4 to 7pm. Henriettas family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions to be made to the Alzheimer Association in her memory and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
