Henry J. Loechel

Henry J. Loechel Age 84, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. Henry was born June 17, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Henry V. & Bertha (Nichols) Loechel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Loechel; and by two sisters, Virginia McManis & Mary Scott. Henry was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church for over 40 years, he was also a member of the Teamsters Union, the F.O.E. # 2197 in Cheviot, he enjoyed playing pool at the Vandalia Senior Citizens Center and he was an avid cyclist. Henry is survived by his loving wife of the past 53 years, Patricia R. (Martin) Loechel; daughter, Theresa Marie Scott (Steven); son, Michael Henry Loechel (Julia Caballero); four grandchildren, Alexandra, Christopher, Theodore & Dana; and by his extended family & many good friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Francis Keferl at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday (5/19) at St. Christopher Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
