Holly E. Rossbach

November 24, 1996 — February 22, 2018

ROSSBACH, Holly E., age 21, was born November 24, 1996 and passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Holly was a strong, giving, and caring young woman who loved all creatures, great and small. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed being outdoors. Holly was a 2015 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and was in her second year of studies at the University of Dayton. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Bonnie Johnson, and her paternal grandfather, William Rossbach, Holly is survived by her mother, Cynthia Shilt (Rick) of Troy; father, Todd Rossbach (Cindy Turvene) of Vandalia; her precious daughter, Nora Rose Taylor; fiancé, Troy Taylor; brother, Adam Rossbach; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Rossbach; step-sisters, Amy Shilt and Monica Burrows (Jason); step-brother, Ryan Shilt, and her loving fur babies, Lacy & Scrappy; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and good friends. Holly was blessed with an exceptional support system, including her “Aunt Eva” who became a fixture throughout Holly’s courageous five-year battle with cancer. Eva was Holly’s “person” and was with her for every hospital stay and each new challenge that arose. Holly and her family are grateful for the wonderful family and friends who have shared their love and support by providing exceptional care to sweet Nora throughout this journey. Holly was also blessed to have the best possible care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus as well as the exceptional home care provided by Hospice of the Miami Valley.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Rd., Dayton, OH with Pastor Libby Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH. The family will receive friends at the Christian Life Center on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service.
