Howard D. "Mike" Mikesell

MIKESELL, Howard D. "Mike" age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014 at Stonespring ofVandalia. Mike was born March 17, 1928 in Preble County, OH, son of the late Pearl John and Mary (Meeks) Mikesell. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran (SeaBees). Mike was preceded in death by one brother and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Thelma Jean; his children Roger & wife Kim Mikesell of Miamisburg, Daniel Mikesell of West Palm Beach FL, and Cindy & husband Kurt Roth of Medway; one brother Jack Mikesell of TN; 4 grandchildren Dave Mikesell of Alaska, Christina Roth, Erika Roth, and Marissa Roth all of Medway and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday February 17 at 11:30am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00am until time of the service.
