Ida Mildred Stratenberger of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 while at home under the loving care of family and Home Hospice. She was born March 28, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Forest and Ida Stubbs.
She was united in marriage to James Richard Stratenberger who preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters: Karen Burden and husband Steve, Millie Webb and husband Don, five grandchildren: Steven Burden, James Stratenberger, Michael Stratenberger, Christina Cochran King, Tanya Cochran Jackson, plus twelve great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, nieces Shirley Rutledge, Sharon Fisher, Linda Russel and many other nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Stratenberger, sons: Jim Stratenberger and John Stratenberger, four sisters: Jeanette Russell, Bertha Hayes, Sarah Ewald and Pearl Shepherd.
Mill was a caring and giving mother and soul who could always be depended on to provide love without question, advice to live by and undying forgiveness. She always looked forward to preparing Sunday dinner for family and anyone who entered her home. She kept this tradition going for many decades, until just recent months. She was loved by many, for so many reasons and will be dearly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon Thursday February 20, 2020 at the Morton Whetstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 North Dixie Drive, Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00am until time of the service at 12 noon.
