Iona M. Royce

Iona M. Royce Age 78, a resident of Butler Twp and for the last 20 years she and her husband were "Snowbirds" living the winter months in Vero Beach, FL., passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. Iona was born July 8, 1936 in Alva, KY to the late Theodore & Bessie (Wilson) Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Dennis & Arlie Campbell and Faye Crabtree. Iona is survived by her husband of the past 63 years, Curtis Royce; three children, Michael Royce (Ellie), Arlene Royce & Judith Gail Rowland (Richard); six grandchildren, Bryan, Cary (Angie) & Tommy Royce, Nichol Czarnecki (Michael), Jeremy Rowland (Shaina) & Raymond Rowland; eight great-grandchildren, Gavin, Stella, Lance, Ethan, Kaya, William, Nathan & Kira; two brothers, Archie Campbell (Carolyn) & Desker Campbell (Charlotte); dear friends, Jim & Sherri Landers, Ruby Hoke, Ernie & Karen Davis, Richard & Faye Wornstaff, Clyde Stacy (Judy); sisters-in-law, Ludena Beehler (Carl), Ruby Sizemore (Earl) and Shirley Daugherty; special family friend, Tom Moss; and by her nieces, nephews, extended family & many good friends. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday (7/6) at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
