Irene Dooley

DOOLEY, Irene, age 92 of Kettering, went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2011. Irene was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on September 6, 1919. She was a charter member of the Westwood Baptist Church, a former member of Crestview Baptist Church and a present member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe, one son, Larry Joe; parents, Eva & Jim Baker; sisters, Hazel, Reca & Okla; brothers, James, Byron & Jay, Irene is survived by one brother, Charles (Shelby); two sons & daughters-in-law, Mike & Emma and Ron & Nancy; four grandchildren, Dave (Connie), Don (Susie), Steven (Sarah) & Jennifer (Steve); six great-grandchildren, Joey, Ryan, Jimmy, Nicole, Claire and Cale, and a host of nieces and nephews. Irene will be sadly missed by her family, who will one day join her in Heaven. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. Pastor David Starry will preside over the funeral service to be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, September 21 at the First Baptist Church, 140 Elva Ct., Vandalia. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be held at Maret Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, KY.
