Irene M Hutchins

HUTCHINS, Irene M. (Carpenter), age 82 of Englewood, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born April 5, 1928 in Englewood, daughter of the late Thomas & Ann Silvers. She was employed as a cake decorator. Irene was involved with Habitat for Humanities, donated to Politics in Englewood and loved to garden and dance. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Carpenter & a daughter, Anita. Irene is survived by her husband, Leroy Hutchins; 1 son, James Carpenter of Columbus; 1 daughter, Joan Firestone of Englewood; 5 step-children, Diana Engles of Union, Gloria Gibson of Trotwood, Pam Fields of Middletown, Rick Hutchins of Englewood, & Roy Hutchins of Dayton; 1 grandson, Gilbert James Clark & numerous step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 31 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm.
