Irene McCroskey

McCROSKEY, Irene V., age 83, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at her residence. She was born January 1, 1924 in Bristol, TN, daughter of the late Claude & Gertrude (Gilley) McNutt. Irene devoted her life to raising her family and also worked for the government, the telephone company and at the Virginia Cafeteria in Dayton. Preceded in death by 1 son, Stephen L. McCroskey, 1 brother, Chuck McNutt, Irene is survived by her loving children, Frank G. McCroskey (Karen) of Louisville, David G. McCroskey of Seminole, FL, Karen S. Doll (Bob) of Naples, FL, Sharon Mitti Bodkin of Largo, FL, and Patty A. Bacon of Cookeville, TN; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 23 at Polk Grove Cemetery, corner of Frederick & National Rd. with Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating.
