Iris D. Collins

COLLINS, Iris D., age 89 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 3, 1925 in West Milton, OH, daughter of the late George D. & Mary (Neisley) Parr. Iris was a member of the Murlin Heights United Church of Christ and served as the church custodian for 30 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Collins and 2 sisters, Iris is survived by her children, Ellen Singer, Robert Collins (Lois), Roberta Dirr, Chris Cundiff (Harold), Michael Collins, & Timothy Collins; her sister, Violet Maxwell; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 10 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Bobbi Predmore officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
