Jack W. Brock

BROCK, Jack W., age 84 was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, July 24, 2018. He was born May 1, 1934 in Pleasant Hill, OH, son of the late Dean Edward & Lillian (Coate) Brock. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a longtime member of the North Huber Heights Baptist Church and was involved in many church building projects in the Dayton area throughout his life time. He served in the Naval Reserves and was a 30+ year employee of McCalls Printing Co/Dayton Press, Inc. before retiring as a private owner of a small freight company.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years, Dowana Brock; and two brothers, Ed of TX and Richard of FL, Jack is survived by 2 children, Greg (Melanie) Brock of Englewood and Linda (James) Roos of Dayton; 1 brother, Jerry Brock of Dayton; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Roos of Indiana, Matt Brock of Dayton, Jason (Jennifer A.) Roos of New Carlisle and Amanda Brock of Englewood; special sister-in-law, Joyce Arnold of Vandalia, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 30 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Rick Washburn officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 am until time of service.
