Jack Howard Jr.

HOWARD, Jack R. Jr., age 43, of Union, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 2, 2007 at Grandview Hospital. He was born December 5, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio. Jack Jr. graduated from the Southview School and was actively involved with Monoco Industries. He loved participating with the Special Olympics in the Dayton area where he earned numerous sports ribbons and trophies for softball, basketball, fishing and swimming, and he was an avid Nascar fan. Jack Jr. is survived by his parents, Jack Sr. & Ruby Yount-Howard of Union; 1 sister, Robbin & husband, Steve Smith; 1 nephew, Brian Weiss; aunt, Bernice Elliott; special uncle, Mike Warnock & wife, Kay; a special friend in New York, Maurice Stone, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 5, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Charles Betts officiating. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics in Jacks memory.
