Jackie L Howe

HOWE, Jackie L., age 73, of Harrison Township, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1936 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Earl & Mildred (Rice) Howe. Jackie proudly served in the United States Navy and was a retired Electrical Control Supervisor at WPAFB with 31 years of service. Jackie then gave 19 years of dedicated service to the Northridge School District. Preceded in death by 3 brothers, Glenn, Harold & Robert and 1 sister, Jeanne Foreman, Jackie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arlene (Meeker); 1 daughter, Judy Pepera (Kevin) of St. Charles, IL and 1 son, Michael Howe (Kathy) of Kettering; 4 grandchildren, Kateri Scott, Courtney Luckett (Patrick), Cameron & Paige Pepera; 3 great-grandchildren, Brayden Scott, Samantha & Mason Luckett; and 2 sisters, Jayne Blessing and Judie Becher. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 19 at the Living Word Church, 926 E. National Rd., Vandalia with Rev. Linda Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Friday evening from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Jackies memory.
