James William Clyburn Sr.

CLYBURN, James William Sr., age 78 of Butler Twp. went to be with our Lord suddenly Saturday August 16, 2014. James was born June 21, 1936 in Itmann, W. VA; son of the late Rosco & Rose Lilly (Ballard) Clyburn. James honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Pipefitters Local #162. Preceding him to be with the Lord was his son Eric. Loved and adored by all who knew this gentle and kind man, James leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Ruby Clyburn who is left here to celebrate his life with his sons Jason (Emmie) Clyburn, and Bill Jr. (Venetia) Clyburn; his daughters Pam (Jon) Moore, Lois (Jerry) Tropea, Patricia (Don) Smith, and Ella Rose Bare; brothers Bob Belcher, Joe Clyburn and Douglas Clyburn; sister Mary Helen (Oakley) Blevins; brother-in-law Cecil Cross; 16 grandchildren Owen, Toni, Billy, Kori, Joey, Trish, Sammy, Erika, Vincent, Daniel, Ben, Jennifer, Charity, Johnathon, Rebekah, and Lakota; 13 great-grandchildren Lilly, Evan, Brandon, Faith, Isabella, Liam, Amelia, Omar, Kammi, Ben, Adrina, Angelina, and Corina and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday August 22, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Clyburn Family for assistance with expenses.
