James K. Gorman

GORMAN, James K., Stubby age 71 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 15, 1941 in Utica, NY, son of the late Winfred & Mary Gorman. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and a retired employee of Otis & General Elevator. Preceded in death by his sister, Jackie & his son, Wayne, James is survived by his wife, Mary (Alexander); daughters, Jan Winkle of Clayton, Lisa Stiver of Kettering & Jill Gorman of Cridersville; 9 grandchildren, Kasey, Katie, Branden, Alex, Amanda, Josh, Amy, Garrett, & Caiden; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylin, Liam, Jaden, & Makayla; 3 brothers, Bob, Ted & Tom Gorman; 1 sister, Barbara Wade, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 10, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 pm until the time of service.
