James Douglas Hawk

Age 49, of Vandalia, passed away October 9, 2023. Jim was born August 28, 1974 in Dayton to Ron & Patti Hawk. He was preceded in death by his father in 2022.

Jim had many passions, first & foremost his family who he adored, his animals, his collectables, Star Wars, the Browns and the Reds.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of the past 21 years, Nicole (Kerns); his mother Patti, daughter, Leise; brother, Rob; niece & nephew, Courtney & Tyler (Ivy); uncles, Mike & Bob Durham; his mother & father-in-law, Gwen & Mike Kerns; and by his extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, followed by a gathering of family and friends at the American Legion Post #668, 8220 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45414. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 16, at the Glen Forest Cemetery (Oak Grove Natural Burial area), 4445 U. S. Route 68, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
