James "Jim" M. Morgan

James M. Morgan, 72, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024. Jim was born to Robert & Ruth Morgan on August 15, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Beavercreek High School and was the owner/operator of Rugs to Riches Carpet Cleaning. Jim attended the Living Word Church and was an avid golfer & musician. Jimmy was in a band called The Equations. They played many shows throughout the Dayton area in the 1960's. 

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Smith; brothers, Robert & Larry Morgan, Mike & Virgil McGraw. 

Survived by his daughters, Mindy (Robert) Swisher and Heatherjo (Matt) Gutierrez; son, Robert James Meeks; brother, Earl Morgan; grandchildren, Miranda Morgan, Tyler Swisher, Trenton Swisher, Isabella Breckenridge, Makee Gutierrez & Gabby Meeks; great grandchildren, Jaylin Morgan, Tyler & Saylah Swisher; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to the service time at 2:00 p.m. at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377. Rev. Dana & La Tonya Pendergrass, officiating. After the funeral service, guests are invited to the White Sail Inn, 1509 Barney Ave., Kettering, OH 45420, to share memories of Jim.
