James V Thomas

THOMAS, James V. age 63 of Vandalia passed away Thursday March 18, 2010. He was born February 8, 1947 in Dayton, son of the late James and Pauline (Tobias) Thomas. James was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a retired employee of G.M. Delphi. He was a life member of VFW Post #9582 and had been a member of the St Marys Choir and the Inland Childrens Choir. James was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne in 2000. He is survived by one brother Bill and wife Ruth Thomas of Kettering; one sister Barbara Thomas of Dayton; 2 nephews Jeremy Thomas of Vandalia and Matthew Thomas of Kettering. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 25 at 10:00am at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm.
