James E. "Jim" Wallace

WALLACE, James E., age 82 of Butler Twp. passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Jim was born August 3, 1930 in Clinton, TN, son of the late Jeff & Laner Wallace. He was a retired employee of Delco Moraine with 30 years of service, was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Polk Grove United Church of Christ. Preceded in death by 1 sister, June Cooper, Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (Benke); 4 children, Connie Christman (Dan) of West Milton, James Wallace Jr. (Julie) of Tipp City, Tom Burcham (Karen) of Dayton & Vicki Witt (Rodger) of Kettering; 1 brother, Arnold Wallace (Ila) of TN; 9 grandchildren, Tom, Andrew, Jessi, Dallas, Amber, Alex, Natalee, William & Ava, along with numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 13 at the Polk Grove United Church of Christ, 9190 Frederick Pike, Dayton with Rev. Ed Long and Rev. Ronald Hajarian officiating. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Polk Grove UCC Memorial Fund or the charity of your choice in Jims memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
