Jan C. Shafer

Shafer, Jan C. age 58 of Butler Twp. passed away Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton following an illness. Jan was born February 22, 1956 in Dayton, OH. She is survived by her children Kara & husband USAF Master Sergeant Brian Merrell, Jack Shafer, and Mitchell Fox; her parents Joe & Pat Wright; 4 grandchildren Brittany, Noah, Andrew, and Leah; one brother Robert "Steve" Wright; and her dog Toby. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Friday from 11:00am until 12:00 noon with graveside services to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton in Jan's memory.
