JANE LOUISE (BABER) RADER, age 69, of Kalkaska, Michigan, passed away at her home on December 7th, 2010 after a long illness. She was born July 22, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to Forest Leo and Frances (Morrisey) Baber. Jane was a graduate of Vandalia Butler High School, class of 1959. She married Kenneth Allen Rader, originally of Beaver, Ohio, in June 1959. Jane was employed at Yeck Brothers Co. in Dayton for over 30 years. After retiring in 1999 she and Ken moved to Kalkaska, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Frances Baber, her father- and mother-in-law, Herman and Goldie Rader, and one brother-in-law H. Clyde Long, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ken, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Barb Rader of Centerville and J. Scott and Teresa (Terri) Rader of Vandalia, three grandchildren, Courtney Rader of Columbus, Lindsay Rader and Brice Rader of Vandalia, two step-grandchildren, Kristin (Robin) Jones of Nashville, TN, and Bradley Hatcher of Fairborn, and one great granddaughter, Adrienne Houk. She is also survived by her sister Ann (Bob) Moeller, of Kalkaska, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio, from 5:30 to 8pm on Friday, December 10. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, December 11. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery, 9190 Frederick Pike, Dayton, OH. Donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to Munson Hospice and Palliative Care of Traverse City, Michigan.
