Janet E. Muth

Janet Elaine Muth, age 74, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 13th at Ohio Hospice of Dayton.

Janet was born in Dayton, Ohio to Conrad and Ruth McMonigle on July 11, 1944. She graduated from Northridge High School in 1962 and remained a lifelong Dayton resident. She was married to Mickey Muth on July 17, 1965 at Murlin Heights United Church of Christ.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Ruth McMonigle and brother and sister-in-law, Conrad and Mary McMonigle.

Janet is survived by her spouse, Mickey Muth; children, Michael and Konrad Muth, Melanie Davis (Eric); grandchildren, Michaela Trame (Tyler), Elaine, Jack and Annabelle Davis; aunt, Gloria Henger; nieces, Marsha VanNorman (Brent), Gloria Nelund (Dave), Missy McMonigle and many loving and supportive cousins.

While traveling with Mickey was a highlight of their lives together, Janet’s greatest glory was watching her grandchildren grow up. Her loving nature, strong spirit and endless strength will forever live in Michaela, Elaine, Jack and Annabelle.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, 11:00am-12:00pm at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia, Ohio. A funeral service will immediately follow with Brent VanNorman, Janet’s nephew, officiating. Janet will be buried at Popular Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Janet’s sons, Mike and Konrad Muth, her son-in-law and grandson, Eric and Jack Davis, and her cousins Brad Hafer and Steve Henger.

Memorials may be given to Ohio Hospice of Dayton in support of the incredible nurses, doctors and staff who made Janet’s final days comforting and peaceful.
