Janet A. Shetter-Grant

Age 78, formerly of Brookville (Clay Twp.), passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital. Janet was born April 8, 1940 in Paintsville, KY to the late Ingram & Hazel (Walters) Penix. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Shetter; two sons, Ingram E. “Bud” Robbins and Eddie Gene Robbins; and by her sister, Avenelle Myers.

She was a former member of St. Mathew’s Lutheran Church in Ithaca, Ohio.

Janet is survived by four children, Linda Gail Riancho (Dave), Sharon E. Henry (Jeff), Paul David Robbins and Gregory L. Shetter (Jennifer); eight grandchildren, Valerie L. Coffman, Colt Riancho (Rachel), Heather A. Henry, Elizabeth N. Henry, Paul M. Robbins (Angela), Ashley Shetter, Amyn Shetter & Nickolas Shetter; three great grandchildren, Justin Sparks, Vivian Robbins & Gabe Robbins; two nieces; one nephew and numerous cousins.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday (8/14) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday (8/15) at the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Cemetery.
