Jay Thomas Osterholt
Age 47 formerly of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 20, 2016 in Glenview, IL. Jay was born November 9, 1969 in Coldwater, OH to Richard and Marilyn (Bills) Osterholt.
He was a graduate of Vandalia Butler High School Class of 1988. Jay was the Manager of Technical Publications for GoGo Airlines. He loved everything about airplanes and flying and especially enjoyed traveling the world. Jay was also an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. He was a friend to everyone he met and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Jay was preceded in death by his father Richard and one aunt Elizabeth “Betty” (Stelzer) Bills.
He is survived by his mother Marilyn Osterholt; brother Alan & Olivia (Timbreza) Osterholt, sister Amy (Osterholt) & Matt Miller, brother Ryan Osterholt; nieces and nephews Zachary Miller, Madyson Miller, Mark Sanders, Anthony Osterholt, Leland Osterholt, and Olivia Osterholt; uncles and aunts Dennis & Irene (Schwartz) Osterholt, Larry Osterholt, Linda (Osterholt) May, James & Judy (Dryfuse) Osterholt, Robert & Jane (Osterholt) Fortkamp, Dennis & Dorothy (Bruns) Bills, Edgar & Judy (Bruns) Bills, Alvin & Donna (Brunswick) Bills, Jim & Rose Ann (Bills) Keller, Thomas & Diana (Prenger) Bills, Daniel Bills, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at 10:30 am at St Christopher Catholic Church 435 E. National Rd. Vandalia with Fr. John Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia on Monday evening from 4-7pm and again at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30am until time of the mass.
