Age 86. Jean entered the presence of Jesus on May 8, 2018. She was born Dec. 8, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, the second of ten children, to Frank and Helen Stiffler.

She graduated from Stivers High School and married Eugene Rosenfeld in 1949. Together they owned and operated South Park Grocery in Dayton and Dixie Lane Market in Vandalia. Later, she obtained her Real Estate and Broker’s Licenses and operated Rosenfeld Realty. She was predeceased by Gene in May, 1988. In 1999, she met and married Sam Dalessandro and moved to Xenia. They lived in Florida for several years, and then returned to their home in Xenia. She and Sam loved to take cruises and travel throughout the United States. She was happiest when celebrating or visiting with her family, reading, or crocheting.

In addition to her parents and first husband, Jean was preceded in death by her step-children, Jim and Sandy Rosenfeld, great-grandson, Ryan Hamm, six sisters, Betty (Chuck) Mansfield, Geraldine (Leonard) Lambert, Sharon Ray, Nancy Lamm, Joyce Mallott, Judy (Rich) Townsend, and one brother, Larry (Wyona) Stiffler.

Jean is survived by her loving husband Sam Dalessandro, her five, very blessed children, Pat (Tim) Davis, Karen (Tom) Baker, Linda (Steve) Bolinger, Phil Rosenfeld, and Connie (Tracy) Goodrich, her 15 delightful grandchildren, Christina (Clint) Bieri, Elizabeth Davis, Sarah (Justin) Pickle, David Davis, Phillip (Lisa) Skavlem, Jennifer (Orville) Davis, Misty (Terry) Bledsoe, Andrea Lee, Cassandra (Mike) Sparks, Mallory (Keith) Simpson, James Rosenfeld, Wesley Rosenfeld, John (Shannon) Hamm, Jessie (Bill) Brown, and Eric (Joy) Hamm. She was also blessed by having 30 great-grandchildren, and five great-great granddaughters. She is survived by her brother Jim (Helen) Stiffler and sister Barbara Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also lovingly gained four adult stepchildren, Cathy (John) Ransom, Barbara (Tim) Seiter, Sam (Donna) Dalessandro, Jane (Billie) Wynn and their families when she married Sam.

Jean was a past member of Ginghamsburg Church where she served as a Stephen’s Minister and was active in Koinonia, and of Faith United Methodist Church in Xenia.

Viewing for friends and family will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Morton Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Service will be on Saturday, May 12 at 10:30 am at Morton Whetstone with Pastor Clint Bieri officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
