Jean Hoskins (nee: Keen)

Age 96, of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025. Jean was born April 25, 1928 in Dry Hill, Kentucky to the late Lee & Louisa (Sizemore) Keen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Denver E. Hoskins; and by eleven siblings, Oda Baker, Nora Keen, Sally Woods, Dorothy Williams, twin brothers Charlie & Ray, Kermit, Ernest, Rex, Cecil & James Keen.

Jean was a member of First Light Church and retired from General Motors with exactly 30 years of service. After retirement she and her husband moved to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, returning to Ohio in 2014. She enjoyed fishing, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Jean is survived by three children, Denver W. Hoskins & his wife, Joy, Pam Wagenbach and Gary Hoskins & his wife, Cindy; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, David (Molly), Natasha Willis (Justin), Holly Maurath (Tim), Chris, Garrett (Heather), Kendal DaSilva (Ian), Jacob (Jaclyn) & Kyli; numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandson; and by her precious nieces & nephews, her extended family & many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday, January 27, at First Light Church, 140 Elva Court, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with John Seagraves officiating. Interment will be at Polk Grove Cemetery. Morton & Whetstone funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
