Jean Sengl

Age 91, of Butler Twp. and formerly of Decherd, TN, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Jean was born January 19, 1927 in Capshaw, Alabama to the late James Bishop & Dicie Mae (Lynch) Lloyd. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joseph Sengl, in 1989; and by siblings, Jake, Ralph, Lee, Gerry, Harold & Frank.

Jean was a member of Cassel Hills Church of Christ.

She is survived by three children, Sandra Hall (Gary), Joseph Sengl (Sandra) & James Sengl; four grandchildren, Aaron (Mariann), Joshua, Zachary, Joel (Karen); five great grandchildren, Samantha, Vanessa, Marissa, James & Zachary; numerous beloved nieces & nephews; and by her extended church family and many good friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday (2/20) at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Graveside committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday (2/21) at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Cassel Hills Church of Christ, 836 S. Brown School Road, Vandalia. David Edmonds will officiate.
