COONEY, Gerald L. Jerry , age 44 of Corbin KY, formerly of Vandalia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He was born March 27, 1969 in Dayton, OH. Jerry was the owner & operator of the Corbin KOA Campground. Preceded in death by his mother, Janice Lee (Owens) father, William A. Cooney and brother, Bradlay Wade, Jerry is survived by his children, Laura Belle and Jenna Lee Cooney; wife, Kindra Denise; step-brothers, Myles A. Owens of Carey, NC and Joseph S. Owens of Springboro, step-father, Miles L. Owens; nephew, Bryce Wade, niece, Lilly Wade; sister-in-law, Amy Wade of Burlington, KY, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 19, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm.
