Jewell J. Herron

HERRON, Jewell J., age 79 of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born May 19, 1933 in Ewing, Virginia, daughter of the late Edmond & Iva (Taylor) Daniel. Jewell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union. Preceded in death by her husband, William D. Herron in 2006, Jewell is survived by 1 daughter, Charlotte Brown & husband, John of Englewood; 3 sons, Larry Herron & wife, Carolyn of Miamisburg, Garry Herron of Winston-Salem, NC, & William D. Herron Jr. & wife, Gina of Lawrenceville, GA; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; special niece Marilyn Bundy; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 3 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Pastor Dan Kincer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 pm.
