Jimmie Lee Darby

On the morning of Wednesday February 13,2025, Jimmie Darby of Vandalia , Ohio passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 72.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Jo Hoagland, and his father, Ralph Hoagland, brother John G Darby, and nephew, Johnny R Darby. He is survived by his partner, Mary Monk; his sisters, Renee Hoagland, Teresa Collins and Kim Fields; nieces and nephews, Crystal Mallott, Graci Fields, Jason Darby, Kyle Collins, Max Collins and Danny Fields; and several great nieces and nephews.

Jimmie retired from Hoagies Pizza House, his family restaurant. After retiring, Jimmie and Mary, his long time partner and soul mate, spent leisure time traveling and enjoying a peaceful life.

Jimmie was the life of the party, always laughing and making others smile.

He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Florida with family and friends. He had years of fun bowling on a team with his brother John. He also loved playing cards with family and friends, especially euchre.

Jimmie loved his Bengals and always was a huge supporter. He lived a rich and fulfilled life.

Everyone that knew him has a wonderful story to tell about their times spent with Jimmie. He was a great brother, uncle and friend. He will truly be missed.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
