Joe “Ace” Davidson

Age 85, of Centerville, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 17, 2016.

Joe was born October 12, 1931 in Beattyville, KY to the late Joe (Sr.) and Mertie Davidson.

He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from NCR in 1994 with 25 years of service. Known as “Ace” by his family & friends, Joe was an avid golfer and a member of the NCR Country Club for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife of the past 57 years, Janet (Pearson) Davidson; two children, Jennifer Davidson and James P. “Skip” Davidson & his wife, Jackie; two grandchildren, Shea & Lexie; and by six siblings, Dale, Larry, Jean, Martha, Wanda & Audrey.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that memorial contributions be made in memory of Ace to the Wounded Warrior Project.
