John F. Barron Jr.

June 15, 1950 — December 1, 2012

BARRON, John Frank, Jr., loving, dedicated, and strong Husband, Father, and Brother, passed away on December 1, 2012. Born in 1950, John and his sister, Jacqulyne White learned their big hearts and sense of humor from their amazing parents, John, Sr. and Ella of Dayton. The first member of his family to earn a college degree, Bachelors from Park College, John worked for almost 40 years at Chemineer as the Manager of General Accounting and later as Project Manager. He spent the last several years of his life happily working at Beau Townsend Ford. John was married to the love of his life Christie for 37 years, raising three sons, Jason, Keith (Kristin), and Ross into thoughtful and compassionate men. Consummate family man, John taught his sons the importance of being there, with a perfect attendance record at youth sporting events and school activities. John and Christie sent all three sons to college, where they sought to live up to the example set for them by their hard working parents. All three are successfully pursuing their chosen careers, and building lives modeled after their mother and father. Friends and Family are welcome to join in the celebration of Johns life on Tuesday, December, 4, 2012 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Morton Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. in Vandalia. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am also at the funeral home, followed by procession to Woodland Cemetery in Dayton and a short ceremony. In memory of our father and in lieu of flowers, we ask for your support of Hospice of Dayton for their amazing support of our family.
