BINGER, John Allen age 88 passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. He was bon January 19, 1929 in Beloit, WI, son of the late Allen & Lorena Binger. John served his country his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict in a PBM Sea Plane as a Radar Navigator. He as a retired employee of Smiths Industries with 40 years of service. Preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Martin, John is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bertha “Bert” Sherman; son, Jack Binger (Carrie) of Seabrooke, TX; 2 daughters, Laura Collier (Trent) of Peachtree City, GA and Mary Binger of Knoxville, TN; son-in-law, Dr. Joel Martin (Julie) of Thousand Oaks, CA; special nephew, Jim Osenga (Cindy) of Janesville, WI; 6 grandchildren, Alexandra Martin, Paul Martin, Grace Binger, Elizabeth Binger, Reid Collier & Jamie Massaro; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 step-sons, Larry Sherman, Dr. John Sherman, & Steven Sherman, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, March 8 at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Michael Malcosky officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until time of service. Interment will be held at Eastlawn Cemetery, Beloit, WI on Saturday, March 11.
