CARVER, John David, age 56 of Vandalia, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 17, 2012 . He was born May 4, 1956 in Portsmouth, OH to David & Betty (Franklin) Carver. Preceded in death by his father, John is survived by his mother, Betty Carver; his wife, Patricia Theresa Carver of Vandalia; 4 children, Melissa Merrill (Steve) of Jackson, OH, Mandy Hutchinson (Tommy) of Vandalia, John Carver Jr. (fianc Norma) of Vandalia & Bryan Carver (fianc, Katy) of Huber Heights; 3 sisters, Deena Casada of Vandalia; Shelley Brown (Ron) of Vandalia & Kelly Macy (Tom) of Union; 1 brother, Steve Carver (Kathy) of Union; 6 grandchildren, Haley & Hannah Merrill, Tyler Marling, Ryan Hutchinson, Abigail Carver, & soon to arrive, Addyson Carver; sister-in-law, Claudia Manson (Richard) & family and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 22 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia with Rev. Phillip Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm.
