John A. "Red" Cimprich Age 100, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2015. He was born December 1, 1914 in Dayton to the late John & Anna (Michalek) Cimprich. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ruth (Cornwell) Cimprich, in 2009; brothers, Adam & Joseph M. Cimprich; and by a sister, Mary Welker. John retired from Delco products with over 30 years of service. During WW II he served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the First Catholic Slovak Union. John is survived by a sister, Helenann Hart (Lon); brother, Paul Cimprich; and by nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Angelo Anthony at 10:00 a.m., Friday (2/6) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 411 E. Second St., Dayton, OH 45402. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:15 am until time of Mass at the church. The family would like to express "many thanks" to the staff of Spring Hills Singing Woods & Hospice of Miami Valley for the loving care they provided to John. If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of John to St. Joseph Church. Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia, is in charge of arrangements.
