John Douglas Clay Jr.

CLAY, John Douglas Jr., age 53, died suddenly February 18, 2010. John was born May 22, 1956 in Dayton, OH. He was a 1974 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and was soon to receive his BS in Engineering from Purdue University. John had worked for Plastic Trim Incorporated and later at Enginetics Corporation. John was preceded in death by his little sister, Lisa Clay in 1987. He is survived by his parents, John & Nancy Clay; his sister, Christy Clay Amlin & brother-in-law, David Amlin; niece, Emily Amlin; and his nephews, Andy (Erin), CJ, Marcus, and Gary Amlin and a special friend, Terri Strayer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 1 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Entombment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gilda Radner Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263 in honor of John and his sister, Lisa.
