John F. Gomez

GOMEZ, John F., age 69 of Vandalia, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 after a short illness. John was born October 22, 1944 in Detroit, MI, son of the late Joe & Josephine Gomez. John was a graduate of the University of Toledo and was an engineer at NCR for 41 years. John was devoted to his family. He enjoyed spending his free time with family and attending the grandkid's various activities. John is survived by his loving wife, Patty (Cail) Gomez; children, Michael J. & wife, Marilyn Gomez, Jeffrey & wife, Robin Snyder, Bryan & wife, Valerie Snyder; grandchildren, Emily and Rebecca Gomez, Gabby, Sydney, Aaron and Dylan Snyder, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 7 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the charity of your choice in John's memory.
