HADDER, John age 92 formerly of Vandalia, of Brookhaven, passed away Monday December 31, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 14, 1920 in Osborn, OH son of the late John & Viola (Sheehe) Hadder. John was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran; was a retired employee of NCR; was a member of Polk Grove United Church of Christ, American Legion Post #668, and the Michael L. Finnell Lodge #711 F&AM. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Alice Hadder and Mary Krimm and 2 brothers Robert & Jack Hadder. John is survived by his wife Mary; son Larry Hadder of Saginaw, TX; 2 grandchildren Michael Hadder of Ft Worth, TX and Christine & husband Paul Murphy of Arcanum; sister Phyllis Scoggin; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson Xander; sister-in-law Betty Schaeff; nephews Tom & J.R. Hadder and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday January 4 at 1:00pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Polk Grove Church Memorial Fund in Johns memory.
