HANAUER, John F. Sr. age 98 of Butler Twp., passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 3, 1914 in Dayton, son of the late Victor & Margaret Hanauer. John was a retired foreman at the White Baking Company and Inland Div. of GM. He was a local farmer in the area for many years and was a well-known cattle breeder throughout the country. John also enjoyed collecting old Jeeps. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, one brother Dick Hanauer, and a son-in-law Gary Anderson. John is survived by his children Judith Anderson of Tipp City, John F. (Shirley) Hanauer of Ithaca, Steven R. (Joyce) Hanauer of Butler Twp.; grandchildren Lisa (Sue Spiegel) Hanauer of Centerville, Jeff Hanauer of Las Vegas, Chris (Maggie) Sears of Cincinnati, Loren Cline of Englewood, Johnny Orthman of N.H., Yvonne Orthman of N.C., Vincent Ray Langford of Vandalia, Kathy Meier of Dayton David Anderson of Springfield, Steven Anderson of FL; and numerous great grandchildren other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday May 14 at 2:30pm at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home 139 S. Dixie Dr. Vandalia. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00pm until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Johns memory.
