John T. Moore, Jr. Age 63, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. John was born March 6, 1952 in Dayton to the late John T. (Sr.) & Evalyn Louise (Hanneken) Moore. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of AMVETS Post # 24 and the V. F. W. John is survived by seven children, Genell Parker, Ron Wilson, Jason Sensano (Jodie), Jade Whiteside (Zach), John T. Moore, III, J. J. Gambrel & Chris Moore; 14 grandchildren, Chaise, Chelsea, Kuuleilani, Emily, Brady, Kaedence, Jaden, Cordelia, Matthew, Kairi, Kaylynn, Ronin, Chad & Sara; and by eight brothers & sisters, Mike Moore, Dave Moore (Laura), Matt Moore (Ann), Joe Moore (Dawn), Maureen Armbrust (Bob), Kathy Kilburn (Jack), Nancy Lesh (Steve) & Evie Moore (Doug Heath). The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 5, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Michael Malcosky officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, at the Dayton National Cemetery.
