John C. Williams

WILLIAMS, John C., age 72 of Friendship Village, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, leaving behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Stella (Bailey) Williams. John was born January 11, 1942 in Chesterhill, OH, son of the late Russel & Dorothy (Newburn) Williams. He was retired from the United States Air Force, attended the Vandalia United Methodist Church, was a current member of the Northmont Lions Club, and former member of the Vandalia Lions Club. A Lions Club Service led by Mr. Ted Sheline followed by a Memorial Service officiated by Rev. David Snowden will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 29, at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia. Stella will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), 78 Friendship Circle, Dayton, OH 45426 in John's memory.
