GENTRY, Joseph H., age 67 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1943 in Dayton, son of the late Harley & Hazel (Hyder) Gentry. Joseph was the Owner of Gentry Cabinets, specializing in plane interiors. He loved motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson, flying, traveling, and was an avid Nascar and Hot Rod fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Joseph is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughters, Melissa (Gentry) Howard & husband, Rob and Melissa (Tatar) Crawford & husband, Rob; 5 grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Zachary, Matthew & Alexis; 2 sisters, Debbie Conn (Paul) & Karen Mowery (Mike); 2 nieces, Crystal & Melanie; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Thursday, December 30, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
